PlacerSustain: Voices of Placer County's Sustainability Community

Abstract

A simple but useful approach of a community network is being developed in Boulder, Colorado. The Boulder Community Network has centered on local on-line information, community discussions, and the promotion of networking in underrepresented communities. Beyond this, the community network has served as a catalyst for a wide range of new partnerships and shared initiatives that have tangibly improved the community. The model, implementation, assessment and lessons are presented.
