Good Food Buyer's Club Hosts Co-Op Presentation

The Good Food Buyers Club will host its third community meeting on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 5:pm – 7:pm at the US Department of Fish and Wildlife to report on development progress, welcome public input, and encourage participation in organizational opportunities. 

The featured guest speaker is Joann Saccato, Operations Manager of the Lake County Community Co-Op (LCCC) in Clear Lake, CA.  An introduction will be provided by Luis Sierra, Deputy Director of the California Center for Cooperative Development (CCCD).

The Placer Local Food Alliance in partnership with PlacerSustain is hosting a meeting on June 6, 2012, 6-8pm, at Dingus McGees Restaurant in Auburn.  The purpose of the meeting is to explore the opportunity to create a Food Co-op in the Auburn Area with possible distribution points elsewhere in the County.  Chris Maher, the General Manager of the Briar Patch Co-op in Grass Valley will be making a presentation on Food Co-op opportunities.  Meeting participants will have an opportunity to discuss their views and interest in becoming involved in the organizing efforts.
