PlacerSustain: Voices of Placer County's Sustainability Community

Participants in the first Strengthening the Economy Pre-Summit working group meeting elected to have a second meeting before the May 13, 2013 Summit event at the Blue Goose Event Center.  The second meeting will be held at the Loomis Train Depot, Horseshoe Bar and the Railroad Track, Loomis CA, 6-8pm.  We will followup on originally discussed ideas that focused on Local Food/Ag and Health.

The movie, "Talking Trash" (about "Zero Waste") will be shown at the Crest Theater on March 18, 2013, 1013 K St. Sacramento CA 95814 hosted by the LA Department of Public Works and the California Association of Counties.  See the attached flyer.  The event starts at 5:00pm.

Hello Everyone,

The spring semester has started for Sierra College and so I wanted to announce the dates/speakers for the Sierra College Sustainability Forum as well as mention some events that may be of interest to you.

First we are happy to have three forums this semester, all forums will start at 5:30PM and will be located in the Fireside Room in the student center on the Rocklin Campus.
