Joel Salatin of Polyface Farm in Virginia was mentioned at the Placer Sustain "Local Food" meeting on August 16th. Salatin is a self-described "environmental capitalist lunatic farmer" and was profiled by Michael Pollan in The Omnivore's Dilemma. He also spoke earlier this year at a Nevada County Grown event.
