I recently attended the 14th Annual New Partners for Smart Growth conference in Baltimore, Maryland. While I was there I learned about equitable development. Profit and non-profit developers are using equitable development to provide vulnerable populations with a pathway out of poverty. It's really very interesting. These developers are looking at the bigger picture. They are not just looking at building walls. Their goal is to build a lifestyle that works within that community.
