MISSION:  PlacerSustain connects people and inspires collaboration to build healthy communities and thriving local economies.

Join us in working with others in our Community to create a Sustainable Future! It is up to us, the local community, to create a future that is sustainable for our children, and their children. The essential work we must do for ourselves.

"The real intent of community transformation is to shift the umbrella under which the traditional problem solving, investment, and social and community action now take place." (Peter Block, "Community:The Structure of Belonging")

Annual Membership Drive

PlacerSustain is on an calendar year membership cycle.  All the basic PlacerSustain member rights and privileges are free.  The work that is being done, which is considerable,  is primarily  being accomplished by volunteers.

PlacerSustain Initiatives -- 2012 (Draft)

[This is a summary list of key PlacerSustain initiatives that are being pursued by PlacerSustain members that we anticipate in 2012.  Let us know if you have other areas of interest you would like to pursue.  Our "initiatives" are simply members who are working together to accomplish their mutual goals.  If you want an initiative that isn't on this list, you get to create it--we have volunteers who are willing to help.
